The Reflection Series: Waves That Keep Moving
Over the past few months, the Reflection Series has brought us back to some of the incredible people who have been part of Making Waves from the start. We’ve sat down, shared stories, and seen how life has unfolded for each of them since we first met. What began as quick snapshots years ago has become a record of growth, resilience, and real human connection.
Bravo opened up about the courage it takes to share your truth, and how art can be both a mirror for ourselves and a bridge to others.
Maggie showed us how stillness can lead to transformation, and how following your own path can open doors you never imagined.
The Golfieri family proved that even as life shifts, the bonds we nurture keep us grounded and give meaning to our days.
Elle Ryder spoke about embracing change without losing your spark, and finding ways to express yourself fully in every season of life.
These stories aren’t just updates they’re proof that the connections we make can last, evolve, and continue to inspire.
That’s the beauty of it… life isn’t always framed with a perfect outcome, and we don’t pretend that it is here. What we do try to do is hold space for honesty. Because in the realness of someone’s story, there’s a chance you’ll see a reflection of your own. Maybe it’s in their struggles, their small victories, or the way they’ve learned to keep going even without all the answers.
At its core, Making Waves has always been about finding common ground in the uncommon details of our lives. We share these stories not to tie them up with a bow, but to let them breathe, to let them be what they are in this moment. Because even if your path looks nothing like theirs, you might find something in their words that makes you feel less alone.
And that’s why this community matters, it’s built on connection, empathy, and the belief that our experiences, in all their imperfect forms, are worth sharing.
This may be the close of the Reflection Series, but it’s not the end of the conversations. Thank you for being part of this chapter, for caring about these stories, and for being the reason this community exists.
👋 Here’s to the people who make us stop, listen, and see each other a little more clearly.
This post was created by Making Waves Project to share real stories of strength, resilience, and community. We believe that when people open up, it creates space for connection, healing, and collective impact and we’re here to keep that going.
If you or someone you know has a story worth sharing, we’d love to hear from you. And if you're looking to get involved whether that means submitting a story, donating, or simply spreading the word…your support helps us keep these stories alive and amplify the voices within them.
These stories aren’t just reflections of individual experiences…they're reminders of what it means to belong to something bigger. A growing community. A movement grounded in purpose and shared humanity.
We also partner with brands and organizations that are committed to making a difference. By creating thoughtful, story-driven campaigns together, we’re able to fund this work and extend its reach. If that sounds like something you believe in, reach out to us at hello@makingwavesproject.com.
